Guest Furmom Posted August 18, 2010 Share Posted August 18, 2010 Camp got spooked last night at last turn out and ran THROUGH our gate! The DH and I bandaged all her cuts, she was favouring her foot but we were hoping the AM that she would just need to go to Gramma and Grampa day care to be spoiled, change bandages in the PM and have a look. Well this AM she would not put ANY weight on her back foot. Vet is gonna take some x-rays and stitch up some of the deeper cuts - while she is under they will do a dental to clean up the poor girls teeth. He said if it is a broken toe - no cast - broken paw - cast. I am just sick with worry and hoping for the best for my poor girl. She was a real trooper and never had any issue with us helping her out but was growling at the other dogs if they came close to her so I think she is really in pain Please keep her in your thoughts today! Foot not broken - large/deep cut between her toes which took 4 stiches to close up - because of where it is the healing will be long - that is probably why she wouldn't bear any weight on it. Other cuts sewed up with a couple stitches each. Cleaning and polishing done and he said all her teeth are in great shape - they were just VERY dirty!! I am over the moon and can't wait to go get her He is sending us home with some good pain killers and some antibiotics and he said she should heal up fine! They want us to go back in 5 days for a bandage change and a little look at the foot. At that time I will ask them how long to continue the pain meds because we have never dealt with Metacam before and they didn't give us a stop date....
