Saharasmom
I hope the surgery goes well tomorrow! Sahara broke her wrist running in a field. The vet think she may have stepped in a hole, too. I was watching her run, and didn't see her trip or falter. Guest TBSFlame
Tippy had her apt today with the orthopedic surgeon and surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. The surgeon said she doesn't think this is a pathological break because of where it is and how it broke. Looking at the x-ray and with the reproduction bones it looks like maybe she got her foot stuck in a hole. Our yard is a huge mud puddle so anything could have happened. I am just so relieved it's not the dreaded c word. After losing Romeo earlier this year I don't think we could have handled it. Please keep our sweet girl in your thoughts tomorrow. You got it. I have been thinking about sweet Tippy since it happened. Her sister Memmie sends healing thoughts. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Guest luvRgreys
Hope Tippy is doing well. Just saw this thread. My first female Cholla broke her hock running in our yard, when she was 5 years old. Had surgery and did very well. Took awhile to heal, but she was a trooper too. She died of an unrelated cancer( metastatic breast to the lungs and heart) at the age of 11. I still miss my sweet girl.
