Guest mhall
You're thinking of pepto bismol, not pepcid. Even pepto bismol can be used with NSAIDs, tho. Oops, I was thinking pepto when I read/typed pepcid. Vet confirmed pepto is ok, but said it will likely affect how well the other meds are absorbed. We'll start with a bland diet and go from there. Batmom
If you're looking to protect tummy, pepcid (famotidine) is a good tummy med that *usually* doesn't affect absorption of *most* meds. It's a different type of antacid than Tums, etc. Quote Star aka Starz Ovation (Ronco x Oneco Maggie*, litter #48538), Coco aka Low Key (Kiowa Mon Manny x Party Hardy, litter # 59881), and mom in IllinoisWe miss Reko Batman (Trouper Zeke x Marque Louisiana), 11/15/95-6/29/06, Rocco the thistledown whippet, 04/29/93-10/14/08, Reko Zema (Mo Kick x Reko Princess), 8/16/98-4/18/10, the most beautiful girl in the whole USA, my good egg Joseph aka Won by a Nose (Oneco Cufflink x Buy Back), 09/22/2003-03/01/2013, and our gentle sweet Gidget (Digitizer, Dodgem by Design x Sobe Mulberry), 1/29/2006-11/22/2014, gone much too soon. Guest Energy11
Love and hugs from her for you and your baby! Yes, Pecid is fine to use with NSAIDs. Glad you have a handle on the pain. That is huge!

Jackandgrey
I used Pepcid for Jack along with his meloxicam and tramadol for 6 months. It definitely helped! And he was pain free so his other meds worked just fine. Thanks to Batmom I should say. Guest ScottH
So good to see Tarmac today. Big hugs. It was hard to come see everyone, but we were glad we did. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures you got once they're up. Will and I spent some time yesterday looking through older pictures of hikes. Here are a few I snapped: Mom & Tarmac: Dad and Tarmac: Tarmac's handsome face! Wishing you guys many pain free days!! Thank you so much Scott. I meant to take photos but got kind of wrapped up in talking to everyone. I'm so glad you took these. Tarmac is rested comfortably today, but is acting a little weird - sort of numb I guess. I suspect it has something to do with the rimadyl or the rimadyl/tramadol combo. I'm hoping it will pass.
