Guest FrostyBottoms
Jeannie, Jen, Bart, Olive and I wish you and your family the best during these trying times. Vinny will come through with flying colors, dont worry. Bart had his hardware removed 8 months after it was put in, and remember, he ran the fastest at GPA last year so Vinny will still be able to run like the wind (if he feels like it). Chad Thanks Chad! I don't think Vinny was the fastest @39mph.....but he did win the Godzilla award! LOL! What an AWESOME foster Mom Dorothy is!!!! Yes indeed she is! And she has had to put up with me sobbing on the phone to her a lot lately too!
krissn333
It'll be tough to be without him for that long, but, Dorothy is wonderful. I've met up with her many times in Rochelle to hand dogs off to her If you've met her little girl Ruby - she came from QCGA as a pup and I took her to Dorothy...and she never left (surprise surprise). Good luck Mr. Vin...the best place to be other than at home is with Dorothy. And if your family can visit you, that's all the better! Guest FrostyBottoms
Thanks Kristin. Dorothy just told me about Ruby....she said Vinny knew Ruby when he was there last. I'm going to go post some pics in C&F now from last night.....you'll see why it'll be so hard for everyone for him to be gone, he's such a sweet boy! Fiona3
I just wanted to send Vinny lots of good wishes for a successful surgery. May he heal quickly and be back home feeling on top of the world. It sounds like he will be in excellent and very loving hands during his recuperation. Please give him a hug and kiss for me. (I know how hard this for his family - my thoughts are with you as well!) Guest FrostyBottoms
Thanks for checking in guys.....Well, Vinny's surgery was pushed back because of emergency surgeries and it didn't even start until some time after 10pm....but Dr. T called me at 12:30 am to tell me Vinny did well He said that Vinny had a bone fragment that is dead (Kristin...I'm wondering if that was the cause of his first infection before i adopted him) and that there were 2 screws loose. So they removed everything. He then said he would call Dorothy to let her know about the after care for him. My dd had a hard time falling asleep without Big Vinny here. I had a hard time staying asleep without all of his "boy noises" he burps, sneezes, has a high pitch noise at the end of each yawn, licks himself and there is a whole other set of satifying noises that go along with that, he gets up and shakes out.....Frosty is so quiet.....I miss my noisy boy We will have him home soon, 6 weeks will fly by. Right?
