Hello, everyone! I have been lurking on Greytalk for quite some time but was just able to join yesterday. It is great to be here! I know the rules and will get you pics ASAP. I need to download them from my camera sometime this weekend.

My name is Lisa. I'm wife to a wonderful hubby, 4 skin-kids, a bunch of fish (125gal tank), 3 rats, 1 cat, 1 almost 13yr old sheltie, and the greys - Snappy (CTW Snap Happy), who is 4, and our foster Bella (no racing name due to breaking her leg as a young pup; Dalcash Rebecca x CTW Legendary), who is 19mths.

We adopted Snappy on Nov 9, 2007 (our 11th anniversary!). Bella joined us just this past Monday. She is a foster with intent, but she is just borderline cat workable and also isn't sure about our sheltie, so we are not getting our hopes up too high just yet.

Our adoption group, Austin Greyhound Adoption, http://austingreyhounds.org/, is a wonderful group of foster families and volunteers that are working hard to get these wonderful creatures the love and attention they deserve.

I look forward to getting to know all of you, though I feel like I do somewhat already from reading about your babies for so long.

Lisa

Bella is a CTW baby, too. The farm manager told me she was going to be CTW Rain Drop, had she not broken her leg. I can't speak highly enough about the folks at Clear The Way Kennels. I think Bull may have something there, CTW pups really are the best! (No, we're not bias in any way. :P )

Welcome! The Defines are a wonderful, wonderful couple.

Hi, Mary. I couldn't agree with you more! They have blessed us not only with our girls, but also with their friendship. They do such a remarkable job with the pups, too. Our Snappy was fostered by them until we brought her home, and we went with them to the farm to pick up Bella, who spent 2 days with them before coming to our house. The difference in Bella's confidence after just 2 days at their home was remarkable. I love to see Snappy's reaction each time we see them; she is just over the moon when she gets to visit.
