Guest greytbookert
Well, they couldn't remove the lump due to its positioning in and around the major tendon in the hind quarters. Dr. Dave did biopsy both areas of suspicion but found that it is really just one lump that goes up and around the femoral artery. We should have the pathology report sometime next week due to the holiday. Eric is resting, not so comfortably at the moment, he is still pretty groggy and whiney

Guest greytbookert
How's he recovering tonight? Thanks for asking! Eric did pretty well last night. He has never been one to be good at waking up from anesthesia, so he was pretty whiney last night until about 11pm. He finally went to sleep around then, thank goodness! He is still a bit out of it this morning, probably due to the pain meds. But he seems much more himself, snuggly even. He first noticed the incision on his leg around 9pm and his look was precious. It was as if he was saying "What the heck is this and when did this happen?!!" but 15 seconds later, he forgot all about it I'm still praying that it is just scar tissue and all this worrying is for nothing. If it is not scar tissue and is something that HAS to be removed, it is going to be a very nasty surgery requiring the cutting of the tendon and potentially disabling the leg... he's only 10 and is such a baby, my baby... so I'm only going to think good thoughts!
