Guest Vinnie
I love that Argos and Lucas look like best buddies - so very sweet when our pups watch out for our children. So glad that you are able to keep ahead of his pain too - gotta watch those pill spitters - our Angel Vinnie could shoot one across the room even after using a pill plunger that is supposed to be fool proof - our vet found out otherwise Wishing you many more loving and beautiful memories and keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Sending very gentle hugs and scritches.
Guest HoustonGreys
The pics of the two babies are precious and priceless! What a gentle and loving boy, Argos. I love the family pic! As he gets older, Lucas will enjoy seeing those pictures and hearing stories about Argos. As for the pill-spitting problem, is there a special treat (soft cheese, etc.) that would hide a pill well that Argos would gulp down? Just a thought. If it would make it easier for you and more enjoyable for him. Sending hugs to all and continued prayers.
Bevd
Fabulous pictures Wallace does a trick with meds too sometimes. His trick is to take all his tabs nicely, get some extra sliced meat to help them go down, wander off, cough and manage to spit out no blank meat but one important pill (So we have to follow him around for 5 mins after each medication session to ensure that he doesn't cough and spit one) Quote Deerhounds Darcy, Duffy, Grace & Wellington, Mutts Sprout & Buddy, Lurchers Ned & Jake plus Ella the Westie + cats. BootsyCollins
Great pics, and you look fabulous for just having had a baby! Thanks...pregnancy is the best diet ever. I lost 35 pounds. We got those Greenies pill pockets, which are great. Argos spit out his pill when we ran out and Brian was trying to hide his pill in a folded up piece of cheese. Didn't work. We're back to pill pockets. Thanks for the nice notes everyone! I've upped his pain meds to 50mg of tramadol every 4 hours and he seems much much more comfortable. I've also reduced his walking time to 15-20 minutes max once a day.
