I'm So Worried...my Heart Is Breaking

DH and I were gone for the weekend (for my Grandpa's funeral, of all things). Our close friends and group directors watched 2 of our 3 greys while we were away. DH and I picked up Fixer and Bonnie this morning and Sheila had tears in her eyes..."I don't want to scare you", she says. She was loving on Bonnie this weekend and noticed that the lymph nodes in her neck were really enlarged. After checking her out, all of her lymph nodes are bigger than they should be. Our group just went through a hound sick with lymphoma. He passed away in December. I can't believe this. We are taking her to the vet ASAP. DH and I were surprised this morning (Bonnie hasn't shown any other symptoms or problems). We thought we'll just take her in this afternoon, see what he says, and go from there. Well, I just finished researching "enlarged lymph nodes and dogs" in google and now I'm really freaked out.

Oh, and I didn't mention that today happens to be Bonnie's 1st gotcha day. I thought I could make it until her appointment, but I'm so upset and shocked now. DH is at work and I'm just typing and crying. We fell in love with Bonnie the night of the Superbowl last year. She had just arrived from her haul up from Florida. She was so exhausted that she spent the whole night on my husband's lap in a recliner. We knew she wasn't going anywhere.

Here she is- Miss Bonnie Twist with her big brown eyes

And, her "Angel kiss"...maybe this will bring us some good luck

Bonnie's appointment is at 3 PM today. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I hope they will go un-needed....

UPDATE IN POST #85- A Pathologist has confirmed that it is lymphoma. Our vet has been in contact with Dr. Couto. We are going to wait until Dr. Couto looks at the results and we'll go with his recommendations for chemotherapy.

Oh Kristin and Drew - I know you are scared but try to hang in there. Maybe it's something entirely different. We are hoping and praying. Bonnie is so pretty. I love her beach picture!

Will do...I was just going through pics from the fundraiser last year and was thinking that Bonnie was the hit of the party giving hugs to you guys. I really didn't ever want to "need" to see Dr. Couto...hope we can keep that relationship on a social fundraising level only!

Thirding the tick panel... I had a hugely enlarged lymph node & they biopsied it to check for lymphoma - scared me to death! I had Lyme!
