Guest LindsaySF
Granulex I have a can of it here and it promotes healing nicely. The only thing it does stain fabrics with that yellowish coloring as it's kind of greasy. Yup that's the stuff! I had forgotten the name. I really think it made a difference. jamngrey
I think Marilyn has a few treatments that work I'd start water therapy. 5 minutes 3 times a day or 10 minutes twice a day. Can you make a greyhound legging (in Greyt Information)? Agreed Water therapy does wonders. I third this advice....we had a grey in our group and h2o therapy is what worked for him. silverfish
It actually looks as if it's granulating very nicely! It's clean, and it has that pink, slightly lumpy appearance which is a good, healthy sign! I'm sure if you follow the advice given he'll heal beautifully, but the problem with healing by 'second intention' or granulation, is that it's sloooow. I don't think Manuka honey will speed things up really, because that works best for infected wounds - there's been some success here using Manuka with MRSA infections. He is still on Baytril and getting warm compresses twice a day. I started the Granulex (Thanks Lindsay!) on Monday.
