Guest Fool4Greys
Pepper is a boy that was found on the streets sharved, covered in ticks and fire ants bites. Besides only weighing 39 pounds he is also Ehrlichia positive. Now he has a strange growth on his nose. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? http://thumb3.webshots.net/t/30/31/7/96/96...43qYcoQk_th.jpg
Burpdog
Can you get it larger? You can email it to me. Can't tell from that photo. Quote Diane & The Senior Gang Burpdog Biscuits

silverfish
Looks a bit like a wart but it's far too blurry to see properly. I'd definitely get a vet to take a look. Guest Fool4Greys
Sorry for the bad picture, I was trying to get close enough for you to see the growth. This morning I looked at it again and it is rough looking with tiny red marks on it. I have never had a wart, what causes them? Could this be from something he was exposed to while he was a stray? Batmom
I think warts in dogs are viral, as they are in people, but I don't have any experience with them. I'd let the vet take a look and hope very much it's nothing to worry about! heartdogs
Pepper will have to wait until next week as our vet has her continuing ed classes Fri & Sat. It isn't something that he rubs or seems bothered by.

heartdogs
Pepper had his vet visit today & he has VD of the nose!! Of course the vet used the real medical term for it & said it is common for male strays to pick this up. He goes in next Tues. to have the growth removed & a biopsy done. It is growing very quickly & looks terrible so I told him to keep his nose to himself. He has gained about 15 lbs since we picked him up but his skin still looks so sore & his fur is very dry. Guest Fool4Greys
Pepper has his surgery tomorrow, good thing because he now has 3 warts (1 large and 2 very small) on his nose now. These do not stop him from being a normal large puppy. Right now he is outside playing chase and take the purple bunny away with my other fosters, Holly, Rusty and Hoover. heartdogs
Well, Pepper is now sporting bright pink stitches on his nose. We wont get the path report back until next week but he was in good spirits when I picked him up. I don't think he even knows anything was done to him-silly boy.
