On my iPhone it’s fine. On the PC not so much. It’s difficult to tell where one member and their comment/s end and the next begins, and even more difficult to read if they are quoting and responding to a quote.
Ducky's meme is spot on
Sorry, I don't understand the comments, can you be more specific.

The iPad is very old...maybe it's time for a new one.
Just make sure it's updated as far as it can be, 'should' work.

@BatterseaBrindl give this a try https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-36994/
If that doesn't work, try this

I don't see the "surf naked" option when I sign in.
yeah, that was an odd design decision and hard to find....
Click your username in the upper left, choose Account Settings > Security & Privacy > (enter your password if asked) > select Hide My Online Status

Hmmmm.... no 'edit' button?
And in the WFUBBC there is no way to change font colours, size or center the type.
To edit, click the 3 dots on the upper right of the post:
Text options are here:
If they are grayed out and you can't click them, click SOURCE on the left.

New update today changed some things. I am trying to get the logo centered, let me know if there is other weirdness I may have missed.
The mobile version seems a lot nicer, but the desktop version needs that logo centered.

Don't miss the main thread here:

it could be a mandatory field for new members, but not existing ones, and you can''t really control what information is put into the field.

@feemandvm asked for assistance getting a couple files uploaded. Please take a look at the following:

In what context?

after for than 2 weeks of back and forth with the developers, we have come down to the following, and it does make sense, since I forward greytalk.com to https... that is why logins there were working. My own bookmark and my info above, was not to https, (the s makes it secure) and hence showed the login issue. Give it a shot and me me know if there are errors after you make the change:
I can confirm that the following appears to be occurring:
Your bookmark (and likely others) is pointing to http://forum.greytalk.com - as such, the non-secure version of the site is being loaded. What was happening is that version was being stored in guest page caching, and subsequently being loaded.
As a result, since the site was being loaded non-securely, specific cookies stored in your browser to log you in could not be read. What should happen, however, is that a redirect should occur to a unique URL which will then show you as logged in.
That last part was not happening, hence the confusion. I have invalidated caches on our end and that is now working for me, so *should* also be happening for you.
However - I would also recommend that you, and others, update your bookmark to point to the correct, secure, version of your site: https://forum.greytalk.com/
Doing so will avoid this issue completely. -
I'm going to change something, check your email for a new password from me. That should hopefully fix your revolving door.
-
so are you saying you can't login without resetting your password? If so, I might be able to assist with that.
-
just type greytalk.com into your address bar, and you don't need to reset your password to log in.
You can also just click any forum and when the page changes you will be logged in without needing to do anything else.
-
just found something out. If I go to greytalk.com when I first visit the forum I am correctly logged in.
If I go to forum.greytalk.com I am not logged in (and that is what my bookmark is set to)
Once you visit greytalk.com (not forum.greytalk.com) your browser will change from greytalk to forum.greytalk, and you stay logged in.
Something is still very odd, and we're still working on it, but in the short term, if you visit just greytalk.com not forum.greytalk.com you should be logged in, at least that is what I am seeing on my end.
-
The host made some changes to the server side cookies last night, probably means everyone will need to log in again. After that initial login, we'll see what happens moving forward.
-
It just happened to me too! Still investigating the cause.
I was able to record a video of what you explained above, next time, it happens, I want to get the login error.
-
Hmm, I haven't had the problem since I made the change.
When you were not logged in, you saw the exact error message I posted above?
