  1. nancyB has It is my understanding that radiation does stop the pain. I don't know if it also slows tumor growth. A good question to ask Dr. Couto & staff Sending more prayers!
  2. The hulling was written for vets and the tool is a dental tool. Unless you are a medical person, not sure I'd try it.
  3. Try giving it in cream cheese or a meatball of canned Also, talk with your vet about this!
  4. If the dog has to go, he has to go. Sigh.....I just have a real problem with belly bands.
  5. I've been thinking about you guys. Sending many prayers!
  6. Either he has a UTI or he is not emptying himself while outside. Do you walk him or have a fenced yard?
  7. Solid Gold should be ok re the recall, but it is still possible to have bad/stale food. Is he any better yet?
  8. Chicken broth -- are you buying salt free? If the big D has stopped, I think she should be fine with normal drinking. It's worth a call to your vet
  9. Buy a t shirt that is roomy (buy several). I think I've used XL (men's size) but if she is tiny you can go smaller. Cut it up the back of the shirt about 1/2 way. Put it on and tie the shirt in a knot -- the knot will be on her back. They can wear it 24/7 and you change it when it gets soiled I would stitch the open arm hole closed that is over the amp site (obviously--it would be hard to get on otherwise )
  10. Selma: I'd start a new thread and give symptoms I, too, would look for corns to start with.
  11. It's possible the food has gone bad/stale. Can you buy a new small bag & see? I assume you are keeping up with the hundreds of recalls? Sensible Choice dry is the latest.
  12. when Pablo tore his (a strange through and through like he ran a stick lengthwise) the vet trimmed it and we did wrap it for several days. He healed pretty quick.
  13. that is too cute! A super, cheap fix for SA! Call tomorrow and see what you can work out. They are very good and super nice to work with Let us know! Sending prayers you can get your goofy boy back.
  14. Rear or front leg? Front leg the people I know used a t shirt.
  15. Glad to hear he is doing better! Give him an ear scritch from me
  16. A wonderful, sweet boy I'm so glad I got to meet him!
  17. What does very low mean? Since the thyroid is the engine for the body, it can affect lots of things. Has she been wormed with panacur? Are you giving acidophillus pills? Where are you located? What are you feeding?
  18. Marilyn has her guy's corns removed with a laser. I think you are right Batmom in that this might be a good alternative. I am wondering, too, if this is a corn or perhaps a wart(?)
  19. Towards the end, Ivey was on 100mg of tramadol every 4 hours (no NSAIDs). Kathleen's Max is on tramadol, morphine and neurontin to manage his pain. Sending prayers & hugs.
  20. Did you get him pain meds? Send it all to Dr. C asap and also talk with your regular vet first thing tomorrow morning. Talk directly with the vet. Let him know you are sending everything to Ohio State. You need him on board since he will work with them and he will be the one to give you pain meds. Sending prayers.
  21. I wouldn't use flea spray on top of Frontline. Use a flea comb and drown them in soapy water I rarely use flea products. The old comb & soapy water And no, 3 does not constitute an infestation.
  22. Looking at the photo you posted, I'd probably soak it, give antibiotics and when it's "normal" have it hulled. Print out the hulling article and give it to your vet
  23. Oh my goodness Sending lots of prayers!
