  1. I'd start with a consult at the facility you want to go to now, not in 6 months. You can then discuss options, prices and more importantly, confirm the diagnosis. A consult should not be that expensive! Sending prayers.
  2. Sending lots of prayers! Does she get a shot of dex? If so, it'll help her recover I hope.
  3. July 29, 2008 Hi Diane, Last night, I told Winslow he was getting strawberry Burpdogs. Forgot about those art supplies I ordered. Today, the Fedex guy found out how quickly Winslow can snatch a package if he thinks it's Burpdogs. The boy is quick! From now on my packages will be left at the BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS. I wish I had my camera when I went to the door. Glynis
  4. Sending prayers. I know how you feel......
  5. I know you can give zantac an hour after, but other meds the carafate needs to be given 2 hours after. Carafate coats the stomach, thereby interferring with absorbtion of other meds. The best I've found is meds then carafate an hour after. It's hard when giving a bunch of meds to spread them out, especially if you work! Try potatoes
  6. I've heard of drooling with a bad tooth or teeth. Is it possible they left a bad one behind? I don't know of anyone that uses amoxicillan for mouth infection. Either clavamox or clindamyacin (Antirobe). Could be a bad infection because she is not on the right atb.
  7. If you don't hear anything by Monday, call them! (OSU) Sending more prayers.
  8. Yes, pepcid is (vets love it, I've never had good results with it). I've had better results with zantac or prilosec.
  9. I'd at least go to reduced fat EVO. Having had a dog with gastritis (and h pylori) and me having hemmorgic gastritis, a load on a stomach with an ulcer is not fun. Also need acid reducer. Sending lots of prayers this fixes him!
  10. Many dogs will drink water when their stomach hurts (Burp was one--drank gallons). Hopefully the vet can give him something for his stomach. Re last night's dinner: tempting I know, but I'd stick with I/d or boiled meat only. Sending more prayers.
  11. Scarey Did he throw up chicken & rice (I think you said you were going to feed that yesterday?)? Sending lots of prayers.
  12. I know how you feel. It is very hard
  13. When Burp had a lot of gas in his intestines, he was miserable. I did two e vet trips in the middle of the night to find out he was full of gas and crap. However, once I changed food, he did not throw up, but still had gas on occassion. He was scoped and had gastritis and h pylori. Has he been wormed with panacur (even if there are no worms showing)? I remember one of my vets saying it calms the bowel even if there are not any worms. I know it helped several of mine (we did 5 days). I'd get him off the EVO asap. Try SD (yes I hate SD) or otc SD or the other good prescription canned I cannot remember for several days and see if he stabilizes. I've had a few I have had to keep on I/D or otc canned SD for a few weeks to get the stomach and bowel under control. Sending prayers! What does his blood work look like? Has he had a TBD panel done?
  14. What's his blood work look like? Sending prayers.
  15. Zantac and carafate. She is to the point she cannot eat kibble. She gets frozen BilJac and boiled meat. Not sure if it's her stomach or bowel or both, but she really stresses. I open the door for her and tell her to go work up a toot (except sometimes I say fart)--I hope my neighbors don't hear me all the time....
