  1. Yes it (both Frontline and Advantage and Advantix and hw preventative) has on occassion caused issues. I'll do some research later.
  2. That is a very high dose. Watch for seizures. It will tear up the stomach so with food is preferable.
  3. He is in Spain but his staff is there. Any chance it could be lung flukes? Where did he race and come from?
  4. You need to clarify. Limpomas are fatty tumors that vets will remove "if it bothers the owner", or as mentioned above interferes with things like walking. Lymphoma is a whole different ball game.
  5. Sometimes it's very hard to let them be dogs
  6. Will be watching for a (hopefully good) update!
  7. If this is something new, I'd investigate a little Did you change dog foods over the past year?
  8. I wonder if it was a seizure like in epilepsy seizure or a reaction to the fall. Did he hit his head? Sending prayers!

  12. Directly to a specialist would be best
  13. Any color to the snot (for a better word ) requires a vet check!
  14. Yes, it could. I remember a thread by an ER worker indicating bleed outs of dogs on deramaxx.
  15. Doxy can upset the stomach. Good news is that her platelets are on the upswing! Is she on pred too? Which med did they give you? Carafate or sulcrafate? Annie just finished 8 weeks of doxy. We ended up feeding her EVO canned (and kibble) and fried turkey and hand fed her. She got, in addition to the doxy, carafate, Quiet Digestion (a chinese herbal med) and zantac and milk thistle.
  16. Yes! I will be completing a new spread sheet in the next few weeks, so get those forms in!
  17. 5mg of doxy per # of body weight twice a day. A 60# dog would get 300mg twice a day. It's in the article I sent you from Dr. Stack.
  18. That is not enough doxy. See if you can take or fax the Dr. Stack article which indicates a 60# dog should be on 300mg twice a day. Sending lots of prayers.
  19. Her WBC is fine for a greyhound. Plt low. They should just treat her for a TBD--don't wait. Get a shot of doxy and a shot of dexamethasone. Do the panel asap.
  20. Both You can also have crystals if the urine is not taken in immediately to the vet and processed immediately. I'd not worry until the 3 weeks of clavamox is over.
  21. Have you thought of starting him on low dose pred? I've p.m.'d you re Joint Health
