We lost our heartdog to osteo 3 years ago. I know how difficult this was for you but it was the best thing - their pain is unbearable. Bless you for helping Pyro to join his grey cousins. He will always be greytful for that. Hugs....

There will always be a hole in your heart for your lost baby. For me, filling that hole with the good memories helped tremendously. We did get another grey who, in many ways, reminds me of China. We love her and enjoy her, but she is not a replacement. Your heart expands to make room for another who needs you just as much as you need her.

Oh, how sad. We had a sheltie who lived to be 14. It broke our hearts when we lost him - he was such a wonderful dog. Sweet Savannah - Godspeed. Say hello to Rebel when you see him.
