Somehow both our hound events happened this year. Looking forward to doing more next year! Maybe we will make it to Grape Hounds!

Well we came, we shopped, we pooped on the beach! It was a wonderful time for us… in 10 years of having greyhounds it was the first time we were actually able to make it! The girls did wonderful on their first road and overnight trip. It was a challenge finding suitable grass for Carmen to want to go on, and Amelia seemed to love pooping in the sand… we got her on the beach and she’d poop within 2 minutes! I walked the 2 miles from Rehoboth to Dewey to visit both vendors and they did not disappoint! Came home with some beautiful items. Finally got a decal for the truck from a vendor in the firehouse as well. Overall great time and the weather was beautiful! I hope the rain holds off for anyone going down today. Can’t wait till next year!

Just looked and now I’m not seeing rain really till maybe Saturday!

I’m hoping it changes between now and then.

I didn’t realize there would be vendors in the firehouse! That is exciting. I can’t wait for this… first time at GRtB for us with hounds, and staying a few nights!

It was a good time for us… first trip with the girls. We we’re only at the convention center for a few hours on Saturday but the girls were very friend.y to people and hounds. ‘And I got some nice items from great vendors.

Poor Mercury! I would probably do it since I’m there with the husband, but I will pass and keep the trip to just all about the hounds. Good luck getting back to running! I had a bad injury 5 years ago and took a year off running and I missed it a lot!

The husband and I plan on attending GIG and GRtB this fall. Hopefully all goes well... I think the girls will really love the adventures!

Yup, that’s what we were told. The more freedom in the house we gave the young new girls the better they behaved. Strange but it was our story.

We are on our second set of greys... our rescue told us at some point they would let us know when they were done with the crates. The first 2 didn’t mind the crates for a good 6 months. But they were older and used to them from being at the rescue for a while before being adopted. Our second pair (current) are young. We adopted them when they had barely turned 2 and they weren’t at the rescue for more than a day or 2. They INSTANTLY hated the crates so they were only in them for a week. See how it goes, but I’m not a fan of forcing the crate. Good luck!
