I too, hope that is a simple injury that will heal quickly. Sending your boy lots of white light
and healing thoughts. Poor boy has had a time of it lately and he needs to catch a break.

Ohhh Tracey
. It's hard to believe that already a year has passed. Her leaving still seems so fresh. I too, often think of her . She was so beautiful.

Oh no! How horrible, I pray she makes it through this. Sending loads of white light
and good thoughts
to strengthen and heal her and a
for you. I’ll be on the edge of my seat with my heart in my throat until I know her prognosis is good.

Hoping to read some good news about Ekko this morning.
-
Claudia I'm praying that Ekko will come through this alright. I don't think GreyTalk would be quite the same without her. I will be keeping you both close in my heart and sending tons of white light.

Would love to hear some good news about Henry. In the meantime I'm sending him lots of positive thoughts and white light.
What great news!

I've been told you are suppose to deep freeze it for 3 months because of the parasites that wild game carry.

I was holding my breath when I read the topic title and released it with a sigh and a smile when I read the good news.
-
Hugs Beryl
my thoughts are with you.
I'm sorry for your losses.

Sending Joe T. all the good thoughts and white light I can muster. I’m hoping that whatever the vet finds that it proves to be temporary and he is back to his old self soon. Until then, I’ll be worrying with you.
-
Dee I keep coming back to this thread trying to figure out what to say. What words I can write down to let you know how heavy my heart feels for your loss. Unlike my tears the words just seem to fall short as always though.

The honey your thinking about is called Manuka Honey. I used some with great success on a deep wound that Nadir had at his elbow. The one I used had an Active rating of 15+ which is indicative of it's healing strength. I did read though you do not want to go with anything higher than a rating of 18 because it can be too strong and irritating especially to an open wound. Would a Bite-Not collar help in pr eventing her from getting to the wound and messing with the dressings?

I was wondering if a yeast infection could possibly be Robin's problem. Check out the pictures here and description of this dog's skin problem. Not suggesting the use of the product, never have tried it myself, just thought the pictures might give you something to have the vet check into.

Kerry, Unless Merlin is at risk for dehydration from diarrhea it is best not to give Kao or Imodium. The diarrhea is part of his body's mechanism for purging itself of what is making him sick. Nadir recently went through several weeks of an seriously upset digestive system complete with bloody diarrhea and bloody vomit and the refusal of all foods for days at a time. Initialy the vet was treating him with Sucrulfate because I thought his ulcer had flared up when that didn't help and he started refusing everything I tried to give him I took him back in and ask that he be given Flagyl (Metronidazole) and that seems to have done the trick. Oh and while he was sick I making him a stew of Tilapia, Jack Mackeral and boiled potatoes. I don't know if Merlin is okay with fish, but if he is Tilapia may be easier on his system than ground beef. I'm so sorry your wizard is under the weather. Sending that handsome boy lots of healing thoughts.

I'll be keeping your Gracy in my thoughts and sending lots of white light and healing thoughts. I've never had experience with this thankfully, but I think I would be terrified too. Hang in there, there are a lot of people who have been down this road and will help you.

Surrounding your family and Darcy with warmth and white light.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes. We are going to the vet at 1:00 pm today. I am absolutely heartbroken, but I know I need to do this for him.

Oh dear God, I'm so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Thank you for this information. I'm not so concerned with price as quality of the testing. Right now I'm probably going to start with having Nadir tested for Toxoplasmosis, which I know is not a TBD, through the Vet School here at Auburn University. If that proves negative I just wanted to prepare myself for other testing to be done and where I should request it be sent.

Panting is one of the ways that dogs have for letting us know they are in pain. It can have nothing to do with respiratory problems. Nadir too has been off his food lately with stomach problems and has done a lot of panting.

Where are the best places to have a complete blood panel done and to test for tick borne diseases?
-
Weird, he has never been a chewer before, except he likes to shred paper..
From reading your post in Soapbox I'm thinking he is picking up on the stress your dealing with regarding your house and your upcoming move back to Manitoba.
