I'm so heartbroken to have to post this but our Kassie passed away peacefully this morning, at home, at 6:10 AM. She's been fighting kidney disease since early last October and has been a really tough girl but it got the best of her. I don't know what to say that would be the tribute she deserves, She was sassy, sweet, loving, stubborn and beautiful. We got her as a foster dog in March 2003, she thought we kidnapped her and she wasn't real happy, she was snarling and growling all the way to our house. John fell in love with her right away and she started the tradition of following him out to the gate and running down the fence line when he went to work. He started bringing out a treat for her and then the rest of the pack would go out too, Marvin, Ruby, Ramm, Albi, Rocket and now Umeko. She's our last greyhound, she was a loyal friend, I'll miss her testing me and we'll never forget her. Thanks for the 9 years and 8 months of love, Kass. You were a wonderful girl, you will be always loved and always missed.
