Thank you Sharon as soon as I hear anything I will let you all know
-
thank you at least I have piece of mind knowing that something is being done - am upset at the vets I use will be looking for a vet closer to my home instead of driving for an hour and not getting any results
-
They kept EZ. He was not acting normal when I drove there he laid down most of the way which is not EZ and Pam who knows him from going to Neurology clinic remarked that he was not acting right and they will be doing an ultra sound later, noticed he had a shunt in his leg, will be transferring him to internal meds later on
asked for fecal matter - asked them how to you get the big D in a container? Took kibble, canned food, cream cheese, carrots and people crackers along with his meds
Praying that they will find out what is wrong with him
-
will keep you updated Jimmy and post here
-
I have been doctoring him for over 3 weeks with the big D - it is all water and I also get a 4 am wake up call
The idiots at the vet when I took in fecal samples of the 4 pups combined it in one and discovered on of the pups had hook worm - which one ?????? Treated all 4 for hook. EZ developed the big D (all water) Penske and Arby soft mushy bowels - put them on Flagyl - still mushy plus EZ still had watery bm's. Decided to give them all Pancur still mushy and EZ watery, gave more Flagyl - Arby and Penske starting to form but EZ still watery - so I am tired of playing around and I will be going to the ER vet shortly
Will update later

Greyt news hope other pups get the same relief
-
he was doing good and then boom all you know what broke out - vet said age has a lot to do with their seizure activity....
-
he is also in 2 grain pheno 2 x day and his hypo thyroid meds
-
today is a cool one but the fire returns tomorrow - I leave the ac's on 74 and keeps the house decent until about 4 then I crank it up some more for the pups.....EZ's new meds should be ready tomorrow
-
Vet has increased his Potassium Bromide to 750 mg/day now waiting for pharmacy to compound the additional dose.
-
just heard from another EPI board member and she said that heat was a factor in one of her pups' seizures.........If so praying this heat breaks soon
-
This is the 3rd. seizure in less than 2 months - not as long as he is usually in seizure but still grand mal. I wonder if the heat has anything to do with it or the high pressure system that is causing the heat. Heard from a couple of people on the EPI board and they stated that there have been quite a bit of seizure activity this week end......After his last seizure his neuro vet told and associate that he will probably up his KBr if he has another one within 2 months. Well he did so now we shall see how much he will up this medication

Cholesterol deposit in her eye plus she had an infection

Hershey has to have a compounded ointment/eye drops for her eyes for the rest of her life. My vet said they had to order the drops (Hershey was a devil to get the ointment in her eyes)and they got it for me cost me $36.00 plus $5.40 shipping. I could of got the same items locally (the pharmacy that does the corn cream) much cheaper and would not of had to wait over a week for it. It was a 5 ml bottle and from Susan I can get 2 x that much for the same price and no shipping..........I have told them that I deal at this pharmacy so I don't know why they ordered it out of state............
-
Have you thought about using the corn cream from Susan you can e-mail her here and get more information

I don't know but maybe Susan at the pharmacy can answer your question and give you more information
-
hope you get rid of those pesky corns but does sound as if you are making some progress
-
I get EZ's seizure meds and Thyoid medication there - very reasonable

today is better but it is the anniversaries that are bad, birthdays, wedding, etc. Visiting the cemetery is also bad
-
Oh dear...I can't believe its been 2 years. I still think of him. Its comforting to know he's up there with our puppies though. He loved them pups. {{{{ hugs }}}}
Thank you Hilda - went to the cemetery today and the tears started again
To each and everyone of you thank you for caring
-
These anniversaries do not get any easier - yesterday I think I cried most of the day

When doG made David he threw that mold away, David was one in a million. I think we were made for each other and so many people said that we were a cute couple. Even though there was a huge age difference it did not matter to either one of us. We were both happy and compatable, we could, cook, bake, make candy and even do crafts together. So many times we knew what the other one was thinking and seemed to be able to mesh with just about anything we did......

It is two years today that My Big Blue Eyed Bear David passed away. There is never a day I don't think of him and today has been especially bad for me. Just like the rain that is here so are my tears. The only thing that has kept me going is my pups and knowing I have the pup that is named for him. I miss him so much he was always here with me except when he was working, we did so many things together. He was involved with all my crafts and was in his glory when he was helping someone no matter what the task was. He idolized his girls and then Penske came along our first boy and then EZ he loved them all.
I miss you David
