  1. EZ is still doing good but he has been peeing in the house and going through the belly band (It is not one I make that you use a pad in) and pooping and usually eating it when I am not home. The belly bad is the kind that has the terry pad on it. There are days when this does not happen but 90% of the time it does. I did get home the other day where the poop was still warm so he must of just done it. They say that the greys don't poop or pee in their crates but he is doing it on the bed or beds that I have in the living room. I keep him away from the other two when I am not home but they can see each other as they are contained by a gate and a baricade. Any suggestions. Oh, they are let outside before I leave the house. TG the living room is a laminated floor so clean up is fairly easy but then I have to scrub the bed off that he messes up.

  2. Thank you for all the prayers - I just hate it when he has a seizure as you feel so helpless not being able to do anything for them. He is confused (which is normal) when he comes out of one and usually gets very vocal. At least I only had had urnine to clean up not bm so it is usually get the beds washed or if he has one on the laminated floor get the mop and bucket out.

  3. Thank DOG he did not cluster and I did give him a dose of 2 grains of phenobarbital. I did not tell his neuro doctor but when he called this afternoon he did tell me if he seizes again to give him a dose of 2 grains and to call him. I also called his regular vet to report this latest seizure. His neuro vet asked me a few questions:

Anything new, new pets, bright light, sudden noise, new food. Told him no but I forgot to mention those idiots were not shooting off fireworks last night. :lol

I can use ice on him but only if he is over heated after he comes out of the seizure.

  4. Just had another call from EZ's neurologist he said all his blood work was good (I knew that) not to worry but if he seizes again to give him an extra 2 grains of phenobarbital and to call him or the office. He is going to call me in the morning at work to check on him again. Almost 3 months without a seizure is okay. Yes its okay but not for mom as you feel so helpless whem they are having them

  5. Thank you so far so good no cluster. At least was a very mild one compared to his other seizures and shorter in duration. Just wish they would go away for good. He is on 2 grain phenobarbital 2xday and 500mg of KBr 1 x day and medication for hypothyroidism 2 x day. BTW I get me meds from the same pharmacy that has the breakthough in the corn cream and she is much cheaper than CosCo and WalMart and does mail orders. My KBr capsules 4$49/100 and phenobarbital is under $9.00 for 180. His thyroid meds I was paying $8.00 for 60 but she is giving me 100 for $10. No matter what meds you need for your pups check her prices.

  6. Just back from seeing Erica and Susan and they told me that they are getting a lot of positive reports on the cream.

also found out that Susan can give you a good price on medications and I am now getting all of EZ's medications off of her. Giant Eagle who claims to match the lowest price is charging me $8.00 for 60 pills (1 month supply) Susan is giving them to me for $10 for 100 pills, she is also giving me EZ's phenobarbital cheaper than the lowest price I found including CostCo's price. Also I get his KBr there and she only charges me $49 for 100 capsules which I was told on an EPI Board that was very reasonable. So if you do not have insurance to pay for your greys medication check around or check with Susan and see what she can give them to you for.

  9. Update on Fancy which Ireceived this morning

    Hi,

Fancy's 2nd week check up today was great. They removed the stitches and Dr. Aragon was very impressed with how well Fancy is walking already. He said she's a great candidate for physical therapy/rehab; his expectations for her are to be living a normal life and be pain free. We have an appointment next Friday with Dr. Laura Hady who will do some measuring to see where Fancy is at now, and come up with a plan for her, ie underwater treadmill, etc., plus she'll show us some new exercises we can do at home. She said they usually do a 4-6 program with with once/week visits and results are normally seen right away. Dr. Aragon said Dr. Hady is one of the top 3 in the state.

The initial visit is around $150 and the subsequent visits are $55.

This morning Fancy tossed around a stuffy again while I made breakfast, in addition to 2 other play moments during the day. She is becoming a little more active and playful everyday. Every morning begins with lots of tail wagging and shoving her head into me, with some kisses thrown in, she's just adorable in the morning. And as I'm typing this from the couch, I'm watching her get herself into a great roach, aaaand she flopped over. Every day is more fun than the last.

    Lisa
