  1. Kerri had 22 teeth pulled last year right before I adopted her. She has no problem eating kibble. I add water to let it soften a little and she does fine. She also eats Mother Hubbard and Paul Newmans biscuts. They are hard but crumble easily. Most of her teeth that were removed were on the side and a few of the little ones in the front, she has her back teeth :)

  2. Kerri had 22 teeth removed before I adopted her last May. I took her for another dental 6 months later and she did fine, no more teeth were pulled. The teeth that she has left are not very pretty, they are mostly in the back and a few in the front, the sides are where she lost most of them. She does fine with eating her kibble, I soak it in broth or water to soften it. She can also eat hard biscuits, just takes her a little longer.

  3. I used NGAP this year for both my girls. I was very pleased with them and both dogs did just fine. I met with the Vets before their dentals and they were very nice, and answered all my questions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was very good, compared to the $500.00 each that my regular Vet quoted me. I also like the fact that NGAP knows Greyhounds. I will be going back for next year's dentals.

  4. She will be fine, especially if the body is cardboard.

We have learned to keep cat toys waaaaaay out of hound reach.

ETA: Hydrogen peroxide tastes NASTY, so they will always spit it out unless you pour it directly down their throats.

Flossie has eaten this kind of mouse. I found the plastic body on the floor, but I wasn't sure who ate the fur, Floss or Kerri, well on our walks Floss pooped green for two days, dead give away :) Kitty doesn't get mice to play with anymore :(

  5. I took my 2 girls to NGAP for their dentals after my regular vet quoted me a price of about $500.00 each. I was a little nervous at first because I had never been there before, but I was very pleased with the results. No extractions and nice pearly white teeth. I was worried about my one girl because her teeth are pretty bad looking and she had 22 pulled before I adopted her. The staff was very friendly and I went back with the girls before their dentals to meet the Vets and talk to them. I am less than an hour away so the drive wasn't bad. When they need dentals again, I will be taking them back to NGAP.

  6. Thanks for all the greyt replys and suggestions. I'm glad to hear your puppers can enjoy some harder/hard treats. I will try them with Kerri. I don't want to always be feeding her soft treats, I want to try to keep her remaining teeth healthy and in her mouth :)

  7. I adopted Kerri two months ago. Before she came to me, she had 21 teeth removed. I soften her kibble and add a little can food or chicken/beef and rice. She has no problems eating. What I wanted to know, is what kind of treats does everyone feed their pups who have had some teeth removed? I have been giving her Gooberlicious, Wellness Wellbites and BillJack soft treats. I am looking for more of a variety.
