Gabapentin - Xylitol and a case of seizure dog being poisoned

Recommended Posts

Quite a few people with greyhounds on this forum use gabapentin for pain issues or seizures. When I used gaba, I used the capsule form and that is probably what most people are using however, you may still want to read the article even though it highlights an issue with the liquid form.  More importantly, it highlights an issue in the way that the Merck manual specified the drug which is a good fact to file away in your head.

Like many, I never knew it came in liquid, :dunno  though it makes sense for human consumption and use for young children with seizures.
