I think your pet might have some stomach issue. It may be a digestive problem or it can be a diarrhea. You should consult a doctor and get him treated. Only changing his food won't work. Give him light food till then.

Gomie is still in ICU, at NC State. Biopsies will not be back until Tuesday, so we still don't know if IBD or Lymphangtasia.

They say he's doing we'll and eating, ( although they gave hom an appetite stimulant) and they have stopped using the nasal feeding tube, for now. He is eating Purina h/a . They still have him on fluids, an anti-inflammatory, they are increasing his carafate, since there is still some digestive blood in his stools. They have started him on Flagyl as well.

I am still in a state of shock. I know he is getting wonderful care & they love him. Before I left to come home, when I visited him, he would also go the his assigned student and his Dr. For rubbins, so I know they are being very good to him. ( he doesn't act like that unless he trusts & likes someone).

His blood levels are still out of whack- proteins at 3.2- ish, albumin at 1.7, globulin at 1.4, but they say he is improving and definitely needs the nutrition, and that the eating on his own is the best thing that can happen.

Will update agiain when there is more.

Thank you all for all of the support, thoughts, prayers, advice- all of it....

Sincerely,

Lynn B. aka - Gomies Mom
