Guest SarahW
Hi all. Just wanted to stop back with a report on Copper and his anxiety and his nighttime distress. He's been on prozac now for 1.5 weeks. We added an "as needed" prescription for xanax this week, as he was still suffering from panic attacks at night. I am thrilled (for him and for myself) to report that he has gone back to a peaceful slumber through the night since adding a bedtime dose of xanax. I am even more thrilled to report that we are seeing flashes of his playful personality peeking out in the last couple days. He was mouth wrestling with our other dog yesterday in the house and actually picked up a toy last night! Such a gorgeous thing to see the sparkle back in his eyes! We can't wait to get on with getting to know him and developing our family bond. Thanks again to everyone for the advice and suggestions and support! Guest KatyC
That's brilliant! Very happy for you. It is lovely to watch these changes they are going through and see new little things that they do every day It makes me happy. If antidepressants/anti-anxiety meds can help people to live a normal, happier life then why not dogs too It's obviously working so that's great.
