Guest iggiecrazy Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 I have an iggie in liver failure. I am trying to figure out how long I should let her be before time. She has been on all the meds and IV fluids. She has started having seizures but bounces back ok. one minute she is very exausted and wont eat the next she seems ok but slow. Afterward, my head/mind questioned it and I was a mess. But my heart knew it was the right thing to do. Listen to your heart and your little hound....I just knew that for 16 years every decision I made was for the best interest of Maya, so why was I questioning the final one I made? Guest iggiecrazy Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 She has had all the bloodwork and sonagrams and a specialist to diagnose. She has hepitias of the liver and it has been dieng and shrinking for 2 months. They just did more bloodwork and her bile acids are through tthe cieling and biliruben also. (not sure of spelling) She has turned alitlle bit yellow. She is taking danamarin sam-E prednisone and anti nausa meds. One minute she eems ok but tired and then he next she seems so sick. I spoke with the vet this morning. when she starts losing intrest in what she likes is when we will have her cross over. right now we are spoiling her to peasces. I agree I would rather be day early than a day late. My heart is breaking and my other iggie babies know it. I fear it wont be long. Thank you all so much for the advice and support. How is your crew Duckie? please hug and give kisses to all from me Tessa just had an ultrasound yesterday. Her spleen had some issues but we're just to monitor for now. Vet's not sure if the shaking she was doing was a pain manifestation or a petit mal seizure. 99.9% of the time she feels great. Tessa asks that I not send Biggie/Oreo a hug from her - you know what trouble that got her into last time.
