I talked to my brother today who works for Novartis and asked about when he thought the plant that made Sentinel & Interceptor would be back up and running. He stated that he Believes that Sentinel is back in production. When I asked about Interceptor- he stated that he did not know about that one. This is all the information that he knows at this time, no idea when it will be shipped or back on the shelves at vendors or vets etc. Now, I am making my disclaimer, my brother works on the human side of their products (he deals with exedrin , thera flu etc) so he does not know all about the animal side so therefore I am disclaiming that this information is true to the best of my brother's and my knowledge. I personally did not know that there was a problem with Deramaxx- can you fill me in on what is going on with it. Reason I asked him about the Sentinel and Interceptor is these 2 are pretty well known (I have bugged him in the past about trying to get me the 'family discount for Sentinel for Maddie- and he can't- Excedrin migraine yes he can get the discount for me - Sentinel no- so I will take what I can get. - Go figure. Good news (well sort of) I called the Norvartis Technical Product Services @ 800-637-0281 and spoke with a rep there- they are stating that ALL products, Interceptor, Sentinel, clomicalm and deramaxx should be back by LATE SUMMER. Novartis Animal Health has voluntarily suspended manufacture Interceptor® and Sentinel® while their facility undergoes "process and compliance improvement activities." Availability of these medications is expected to resume sometime in January 2013, according to an article in Veterinary Information Network news. This is all I know folks. My brother is on some project so he is not going to know much. Darn- I was hoping they were already in the process of producing. Guest undergreysspell Posted September 11, 2012 Share Posted September 11, 2012 That's totally weird....I just ordered and received a 6 month supply of Sentinel for both my dogs from Drs Foster &Smith. I kept checking their website every couple of days and finally one day last wk it was available so I ordered it. I think they must get it in periodically. I was able to get 12 pills.
