Batmom
Probably a healed, torn muscle -- aka "dropped muscle" -- and nothing to worry about, just a charter member of the asymmetrical booty club. marion
That looks like a Gracilis muscle injury...a bit of rest is recommended. The thigh will not completely recover its initial appearance but the dog can run and play again after some weeks of rest. My beloved Soldi got that injury in both thighs but after some rest she was fine again... gazehund
Member of the "funky booty" club. I have one too. No need to be concerned. Quite a common thing in greyhounds.

I guess the funky smell comes out of some thing funky looking lol.. Agree with the dropped muscle but the funny smell may be a blocked anal gland which needs to be expressed. GeorgeofNE
OMG! George has the EXACT same thing! And that's how I decide if the vet he's seeing at the time knows Greyhounds. The ones that do don't even comment on it. The ones who don't ... well, they do! His butt shouldn't smell. Agree he might have an anal gland issue.
