Guest Betsy Posted July 2, 2011 Share Posted July 2, 2011 Thank you all so much. There are still tears every time I realize she is gone but they are getting less. Taylor seems to know she is gone but not fully understanding. We are giving him a lot of time and attention but earlier today he was just looking everywhere and I finally said "are you looking for Dixie, Taylor?" As soon as he heard her name, he looked towards the front of the fireplace which is where she always laid. Maybe it is my imagination but I think he truly misses her. They were together in our home for 8 years and actually come from the same lineage although not littermates. Anyway, thanks again.
