Guest amour
Results from ultrasound showed no tumor However, this spleen is extremely enlarged, the liver is small and congested and major pockets of gas in the abdoman---causes unknow The vet is keeping him for 24-48hrs on IV fluid and different meds because we don't know if the meds would stay down and how much his system would absorb. Her 1st goal is to reduce the gas and see if the spleen and liver bounce back--until that happens other diagnosis is difficult to make. So, I'm basically in a holdind pattern and it's riping me apart!

tbhounds
Great news so far. You might want to consider sending the u/s results/report to OSU's greyhound health and wellness program to get their input. I do urge you to subscribe to their website as it would help to fund their program.

MP_the4pack
If the liver is still small after the gas pocket is gone, you may want to ask for a liver function test. The regular blood tests you usually get test for liver enzymes. Liver function is totally different. I hope that the gas is what caused all the problem. Good luck.
