Guest greytbookert
Checking in to see how you made out with the procedure I'm trying to work up the courage to do this morning's flush. DH isn't helping much I guess it is a man thing. Eric is always a good patient, so I don't think he'll give me any trouble. I just have to get the courage to do it. Guest greytbookert
Morning flush went fine! I worked myself up way too much for nothing! Eric just stood there like a good boy! I imagine that there has to be some relief with this type of treatment? His eyes look a little brighter today, coat still looks and feels a bit wonky. oh and he hadn't lost weight, so that is good news!

Guest greytbookert
Has he had an abdominal x-ray/ultrasound? No xrays yet, but I think that is probably where we are heading next. What are you thinking? Don't worry, you won't send me to a dark place. I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. I've had the prostate and lymphoma on my mind for the past day or so... Batmom
I'm wondering if he could have an enlarged spleen (not so very uncommon in dogs) that might be pushing things around and causing pressure that then causes the red rocket. The other options (a mass somewhere) would be darker. All fingers crossed that whatever you find, it's readily treatable. I hope whatever it is, it is easily treatable too. After last year, I'm not ready for anything major. side note - The past few times that Amber has come to visit she noticed that he looked off too. We've both been trying to pin point what it is but we weren't getting anywhere. There seems to be too many things to simply blame on getting older, does that make sense? Guest MorganKonaAlex
Morgan had a sheath infection at one point. I was also terrified of the flushing but it wasn't bad at all. You just have to make sure you're gentle with squirting the water in. Not too much force. I hope the clavamox works.
