I tried Duralactin for Dillon at the recommendation of her acupuncturist. Unfortunately, it didn't work for her. I know other people who have had luck with it. It's chewable, so getting her to take it might not be an issue.

We did our own little case study on the Duralactin in the racing kennels.

IMHO it did nothing for any of the hounds we put on it verses the dogs that were not put on it.

Recovery time and future injuries were equal for both sets of dog, on duralactin or not.

And like Boondog said, we had it in chew tabs.

Elk Antlers, you might be able to purchase them and have the dogs use them a chew toys. I know my mom orders all sorts of antlers.

I use the elk antler supplements ALL THE TIME for Curfew. They are a natural source of Glucosamine and Chrontroitin. I SWEAR by them, and I'd highly recommend. They care available through Elkusa.com (*click on the cartoon dog on the right side, and order Caniflex). Good Luck!

Duralactin appeared to have no effect when we tried it with our girl either.

Crushing it and adding it to something is a good suggestion though, could mix it into a spoonful of canned dog food.
