Could We Have Good Thoughts For Jenny?

Jenny (8) has had a history of lipomas (fatty tumors), and we've been monitoring several on her chest. She had some removed in 2007. They don't bother her. She just ran up to me, and I found a new lump that feels a little bit different--right in her armpit. And another one down near her "leg pit" (for lack of a better term ). Cr@p.

You're going to tell me it's too early to worry about anything until I know something, and you're right. But we lost her mom at age 8 (to kidney disease), exactly a year ago, so we might be a little bit touchy right now. I'm just hoping our vets are open tomorrow (Columbus Day).

Anyway, if you could send us some good vibes that the only L-word we hear is "lipoma," we could use 'em.

Thanks.

I would think the vets are open tomorrow. Mine is. Usually Columbus Day is a holiday foar schools, banks and the post office.

Good luck on this, and sending lots of love and prayers!

And we have a diagnosis. Jenny has...

...Paranoid Mama. :lol And also a touch of Mama Who Can't Keep Lumps Straight. And a big lipoma that shifts around when she stands up. We left there with a complete list of her current lipomas (7), her rabies booster (which was actually due *today,* oddly enough), and a map so we can mark everything down.

...But we also discovered that she has a slightly more suspicious lump on her wrist (near the accessory pad), which none of us had noticed before. It may be a cyst, it may be folliculitis (inflamed follicle)... we're going to keep an eye on it in case it changes. Eventually she'll most likely need to have all these things come out, but for now... it's all good.

Thanks, everyone.
