MP_the4pack
I know it's always a risk to put our greybabies down, but Pearl is considered high risk with her heart disease and hypertension. So if you can keep Pearl in your thoughts Friday as she goes for a dental, I'd appreciate it.

MP_the4pack
Pearl is home. She tolerated the anesthesia well, but she feels like crap now. I suspected maybe losing one bottom tooth on the right side, but the left side of her mouth looked gorgeous. Imagine my surprise when the vet told me she lost both bottom molars! So, none of my seniors have any of the big teeth left except for maybe a canine (which Diamond doesn't even have those). Because of her high risk I didn't drop her off and leave. We signed in then went home when the vet said he had an emergency ACL to do first. (I saw the dog when I brought Pearl back...she was a lab that was at least 50 lb overweight!!!!! No wonder her ACL went on her). Anyway, we waited in the car until they were ready. Pearl's calmer in the car than the waiting room. So when our time came she was wisked right into the back and knocked out. I sat in the waiting room which for the most part was EMPTY. I could hear the sounds of the hospital in the back. I was listening to someone's heart monitor. Wondering if it was Pearls. Then when it stopped and didn't start again I got nervous. No one came out saying they lost her so................ Then I heard a dentist drill. That had to be Pearl. Again it was quiet. An hour after that, she finally came out. She's pretty weebly (weebles wobble but they don't fall down). She ate about 1 egg (I scrambled up 1/2 doz) but I did get a pain pill down her throat. She had already showed signs of pain.
