Zippy Zappy's Tumor

It was a malignant fiberous histiocytoma. The vet says they tend not to metastisize ( :clap ) and that with wide surgical margins and complete excision can be cured--BUT because of the site (just under her elbow), the surgeon was not able get wide enough margins. So we're going to have to keep a close eye out for recurrance. The lab is doing a little more examination of the tumor--said it could be due to an inflammatory response.

So i guess that's almost as good news as we could have hoped for, though I hate the thought that she might have to go through another surgery later if it recurs.

For now, I'm very, very happy.
