rschultz Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 we give our grey fish oil everyday and she hardly sheds. lately she has been shedding a lot. when I brush her afterwards, it looks like dandruff all over her hair. Is that from too much brushing? Or, I just bathed her 2 days ago could it be soap? I know I rinsed her good. Or is it just dry skin? Any suggestions? Should I put somethin on her coat? We only bath several times a year unless they get into something that a wipe won't clean. We use missing link and have never had dry skin. (it's not dandruff, that's actually something much different) Your hand has oils in it. By stroking, petting her, that will oil up her coat. They do shed a lot this time of year. You wouldn't beleive what comes off my 4 when I use the glove/brush. rschultz Posted May 17, 2008 Author Share Posted May 17, 2008 i used shampoo recommended by my dermotology vet so i know it is gentle. i only bather her 3-4 times a year..when the white part of her is no longer white...lol i will try more petting her.
