Monte Is Home

Recommended Posts

Monte is still doing great. He is really moving and he has a good appetite. He is almost back to his old self. He isn't sleeping through the night, though and I am exhausted. We met with the oncologist yesterday - I really liked him. He will call me once he completes his consult with the Docs at OSU. I had to put an ecollar on this morning because he started paying too much attension to the incision. I guess it's starting to itch. I'm just amazed at how sweet he's stayed through this whole mess.

I remember another grey who had the itchies from the surgery. I hope Monte can keep focused on other things! E Collars kind of suck, I know, but you have to keep it on, sweetie!!

So glad Monte is home and doing so well. :grouphug

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.

Monte continues to do well during the day. He is getting around - even in the snow - and the incision is healing nicely. I gave him a tramadol Wed. night and he slept through the night. Unfortunately, giving him just one last night didn't do the trick. I guess I'll have to up it to the 2 pills I was told I can give him. I hope we get some sleep. :sleepy
