Guest Redpack Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 Hi. I've been a "guest" of GT for years and have decided it's time to make myself..and my hounds...known. I want to thank all the members of GreyTalk who have unknowingly given me advice for years...you helped me make the decision to adopt two of my best friends. My initial interest was spurred by, of all things, a bumper sticker advertising Going Home Greyhounds while sitting in traffic. I waited and researched for years until I thought it was the perfect time to adopt a retired racer...my youngest child turned 13, I have a fenced in yard. Two years ago, Red Emissary came to live with us, and his foster mom let us know his brother was also expected off the track soon. When Red Diplomat reached her house, we took Em to see his brother...and, of course, brought him home too. Nine months ago, I brought home a new son, so much for perfect planning!! The dogs have been wonderful with the baby, I couldn't have chosen better dogs based on being with a small child if I had tried. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
