  5. another recipe... Pedialyte 1/2 tsp tablesalt 1/4 tsp salt substitue 1/2 tsp baking soda 2 tbsp sugar 1) Mix everything w/ 1 liter boiling water. 2) Feed 1 ltr to supplement the regular nutrition of a child, 6 months or older, w/ severe diarrhea. (I think you could add an unsweetened packet of Kool-Aid to this for flavor.)
  6. originally posted by foxysmom I was given this recipe from a health care professional at the local children's hospital. They like parents to use pedialyte, but it is costly and some people can't afford it. 4 cups boiled water 1 cup apple juice 2 Tablespoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt
  7. Basic courtesy A quick lesson in Greytalk Etiquette and Netiquette Keep messages concise, clear, and polite. Don't get upset about message received, particularly mistakes made by beginners. NEVER send a message while angry or upset. Sending messages that attack or are abusive is known as flaming. However, disagreeing with someone is *not* the same thing as flaming. To use a patently absurd example, someone might post: “I like to dress my children in green clothes,” and someone else may write in saying, “I never dressed my kids in green because I don't like that color.” Someone else may respond, “I have read warnings that dressing children in green is dangerous; they could be mistaken for grass and eaten by cows.” None of the responses above are flames. Flaming is a personal attack, for instance, someone writing: “You are the worst mother in the world because you dressed your children in green.”
  8. phpbb is not as feature rich as IPB, I will not move to that platform, many of their users are also moving to IPB. All the current CMS options (phpnuke, post-nuke, xoops, etc) are all pretty much insecure and resource hogs. I would like to implement a CMS in the future, IPB should have one our before long and it will integrate with the forum well.
  9. nobody cares about mac users. This site best viewed on a PC and IE6+ :lol
  10. they change based on post count, they don't mean much

    Bingo

and now we finally have the true story. Thanks for posting. I am sorry for your loss.
  12. Thanks to all who have donated !! This post been up 10 days, so I'll pull it down and stop bugging people. I told myself when we started this I'd only bug people once per year. Even though I am not actively announcing a "Donation Drive" donations are accepted all year long. Thanks for all your support!
  13. Thanks Yeah, there were a few growing pains in the beginning, but we got past them! Remember the fonts
  14. You are confusing me Are you trying to make a new donation, or check the status of your last one?
  15. click the MAKE DONATION link, it will then display at the top.
  16. Thanks everyone, I have caught up after being gone for 3 days. Elvis, your GT Support album will accept 400k images, then resize them for you
  17. I have not publically given an average donation, that is because everyone has a different situation in their lives. Some can donate more than others can. I will say that we have had donations range from $4 to $350 (for software) and everything in between during the past year. The average does hover a little below a subscriptip cost to Cosmopolitan (US, not INT) . Mmm Cosmo!
  18. Yep, thank you I have just updated your account. Tammy, the dogs and I were all out hiding for three hours while our house buyers were doing the home inspection. They manages to knock over a candle and still hot wax over our table and on the carpet. Oops ! They cleaned it up pretty good and left an apology. As long as they come through with the rest of the deal I'm happy.
  19. I have not gotten any checks from Canada, so I don't know how/if that would work. I have gotten international money orders as Mary mentioned.
