I'm sorry to read of Cody's passing. Very touching story. I'm sure his brother Buck met him at the bridge.

I'm so sorry to read about Bill's passing.
I've been putting his dining conversations in our newsletter and many commented on how they always enjoyed reading them.

Irene & Len,
I'm so sorry for your loss.

Here is their answer. Sorry.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Our Before Grain has been discontinued and is now called GRAIN FREE. The coupons have to be used on the shown product in order for the retailer to get proper reimbursement. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused

I emailed them about this and will let you know what they say.

Petco gave the group 2 bags of Merrick BG (before grian) Buffalo. I have them to try with my guys and foster. Not sure how it will go ... but on th ebags were 2 coupons for $4. off and expire on 9-30-12.
Even though they were on the bags of Buffalo, the picture shows the BG Chciken formula. http://www.merrickpetcare.com/merrick-new-receipe-recommendations.php
and the back of the coupon states it can only be used for the products indicated.
At any rate if anyone is interested in these coupons, please PM me. First come ... first served.

Many years ago I fed Canidae, until they changed the receipe. My dogs didn't do well with the switch, orangey and looser stools. Many people seem to have the same issue at the time. I was on a program with them, MPR, but 5 bags and get one free.
So I ended up feeding ProPLan Sensitive Skin that I would buy at the vets. My dogs didn't really need this particluar formula but the vet also had a deal with their distributor, buy 5 bags and get 1 free. I found out that they will not be offering this program any more.
So I'm considering givng Canidae another try.
Has anyone had any issues with Canidae lately?
Did anyone who used to feed it, stopped when the receipe changed, then went back have any issues?

This is so sad. At least she had 3 good weeks and looked very content on her own bed.

I just read the update. Like everyone else I wondered what had happened.
Very sad for everyone, both pups and humans.

Most of my GH's have always hated it when another dog puts a paw on them, and they have never been bashful about letting the other dog know.
-
Robin, I'm so sorry to read this.

I've enjoyed all the duck pictures.

That's very sad. I used to work the Fun Runs at Dewey with him, he was a very nice man.

Where in Maine are you located? GT has many members that live in Maine.

Buddy only had the bottom 2 canines left. I would barely cover his food with warm tap water, and then put it in the oven for @ 1/2 hour. I didn't turn on the heat, but because it is gas, with the pilot light on it says @ 70 degrees in there. He loved it. He was never able to eat hard treats again though.

Buddy only had 2 teeth left. I would use hot tap water, just enough to barely cover his food.
I have a gas stove, so with the pilot light on the over stays @ 70 degrees. I would put the food bowl in the over to sort of cook it for @ 1/2 hour. He was always dancing around at meal time, so I guess he liked it. He ate every meal.
Want To Switch Off Iams

I had been feeding Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach for years. Matt and Soony lost interest in it and weren't eating well.
So I tried Canidae again. I used to feed it before they changed the formula. Matt did OK, but Sonny's stool was very loose and my fosters was pudding.
So I decided to try Iams green bag. Within the first 2 meals (with only @ 1/4 Iams, 3/4 Canidae) their stools were firm.
I know it's not the best, but will have to do until I can decide what else to try.
