  1. September 3, 2008 Winslow was birdwatching this morning. He likes to go out on the deck early, while it's still cool and watch the birds. They aren't afraid of him. This is hard to photograph, but hopefully you can see the little bird sitting about 6 feet from him. He loves that. What he doesn't like is BLUE JAYS. The 2nd photo is from this afternoon, after his swim. "I'll smile, but I'm tired and I won't pick up my head, so don't ask". It's nice and cool in the house. He wouldn't even think of going for his 5:00 walk. He's waiting until after dark. Glynis
  2. What color is his poop? Have you tried any otc enzymes?
  3. The can come and go from my experience. You also need to make sure they are used to listening to greyhound heart sounds. They are different. I have Dr. Feeman's Greyhound paper if you want it email me at Burpdog@msn.com
  4. Which tests have you done? Has he been checked for TBD and Valley Fever? edited to add: how bad are his teeth?
  5. Are you giving him acidolphillus pills to replace good bugs?
  6. Sending prayers. I can't tell you how many times it shows nothing until the culture......
  7. I've not had one of my younger ones with chronic D. I do give fiber caps (inexpensive) if they have an ongoing problem. Tootsie now gets 4 a day (2 x 2). Have you tried any fiber? Jodie could not tolerate any kibble with her IBD. She had to have home cooked only.
  8. I'd put her on clavamox immediately. It takes days to grow a culture.
  9. How long have you had her? How hot is it in your house?
  10. Hi Diane, I read the post about the PB muzzle. The question was: with or without the stool guard. Ans: Without... it's a little messier, but takes longer to lick the PB off the bars of the muzzle and gives more dremel time. More later, Glynis

    Sad Day

    Sending my sympathy
  12. Good news I know someone a long time ago, smeared pb on the front of the fridge and did nails as they licked it off. I think the muzzle might be better!
  13. It's never long enough She will send you a sign. She didn't keep track of days--she kept track with her heart. She was with you as long as she needed to be.....
  14. Run like the wind little guy
  15. Home cooked is good. Just keep at it She's not that old, is she? Seems like it was just a few years ago she came into your life <sigh> How times flies.....
  16. What about tramadol for pain? Sending more prayers!

  18. Ok, I'm crying again. Your determination when Dempsey came into your life was quite admirable. I told Marilyn yesterday I would not have lasted, as you did. For those of you who don't know, it's the thread in Greyt Information that has helped a lot of SA dogs. Heather, I love your comment: Again, I admire you sticking with him and what a joy he turned out to be! Run like the wind sweet boy!
  19. I would try supplements and acupuncture and/or adjustments You have a few good alternative vets in Indy. Last time I looked, Springtime was having a buy 2 get 2 free sale!
  20. Thanks for giving Dee a forever home
