  1. I've seen it on one of mine. I did not let that person draw blood from her again edited to add: VWD is very rare in greyhounds. I would not worry about a one time occurrence.
  2. Hi Jen! Opthamologist visit is in order Sending prayers!
  3. This is not unusual for chemo in some dogs. I believe she has stomach meds, right? I remember what Kathleen went thru with Max. Sending prayers for all of you.
  4. Ask the vet about carafate. It coats the stomach & bowel. Sending prayers.
  5. They need to culture the urine. Did you change food or water or treats the week she was drinking so much? What is her BUN? How are her teeth?
  6. I thought I posted here, but maybe in another thread?..... Congratulations!
  7. If that is the case, I would do it
  8. If it's not going to change anything, why is it being done?
  9. Vet's offices can do a SNAP test, not a full panel. It must be sent off. Perhaps they did that?
  10. Know that I am with you all. Tell Bodie the huge group that will greet him are his friends and my kids. Jodie will bake him a cake
  11. where did you do the TBD panel at and which TBDs did you check for? They can often test negative for erlichia and still respond to doxy. Since the xrays were negative, do you have a certified chiropractor or acupuncture vet close?
  12. If there is blood, she went too deep. Have you shown her the hulling article? Can you dremel it? I kept Rob Roy's down with the dremel and sometimes "hulled" them with my finger nail! Any vet around that has a laser?
  13. He's been really stressed, so even if he is better, he'll take a bit to calm down (both of you). Rather than wait to see if he does poop blood, call where ever it would be that you would take him if he did and talk with them. Ask if does, you assume to bring him in right away, etc. Just talk to whoever is there so you have touched base with them. It'll help you feel better and you will have a plan if something does happen. Being prepared is a good thing Sending prayers!
  14. Is he on any medications? Raw or kibble?
  15. Good question. I don't have an answer. Perhaps someone knows!
  16. Sending my sympathy. He'll be waiting for you. He didn't get to come home, but he has a home & people
  17. If he is still uncomfortable, get him something to make him comfortable. There should be no reason for you all to be nuts all night Call the vet before they close. Sending prayers.
  18. Why is the vet thinking Addison's disease? I had a Dane with it.
  19. Sending lots of prayers. Hopefully it was just a blood vessel that burst. I assume they know greys run a higher RBC?
