So here’s a question:
Amelia lately has had some pee accidents. She doesn’t seem to know sometimes she peed when laying down.
I am 100% sure it’s from the treatments.Anyone else have this happen?
And is there something we can do to help? -
Exactly!!!
Although she always gets treats!

Mysterious greyhound injuries...
Yay for only one to go . Do they have a bell you'll get to ring?
We should ring a bell!
Or a horn? Something! -
Chemo went fine.
ONE MORE LEFT!But she somehow got a nick under her eye.
Poor girl.- 2

When she runs you can’t even tell she is a tripod
You really can't when you see her take off from behind!
So fingers crossed...
This morning is Chemo #5!- 2

Aren't they stinkers when they see the camera and don't cooperate? Can't say I'm not guilty of being the same way, though
Glad she's keepin' on keepin' on! Chemo next week?
Yes, Chemo treatment #5 next week.
She’s usually so photogenic!
I guess when she’s racing her sister she could care less about the camera.- 1

Just checking in...
Amelia is still doing well.
I have been trying to get a fun video of her running out back but she seems to know when the camera is on her!
She still hasn't gone up the big flight of stairs, but that isn't much of an issue. We get around it.- 3

We actually just switched to NexGard. It's tough getting the girls to take anything. They thank goodness like it.

YAY for clear scan!!!!!!!
Amelia, you work it, girl! Valet service for stairs and caviar for breakfast! Whatever you want, they HAVE to give it to you.
Isn’t that the truth!
I went out to dinner last night and brought her home filet!!!

Amelia is still doing well after her treatment.
She was a little "extra" picky at breakfast, but she has been after the treatments, so nothing unusual there.Otherwise, business as usual!

She's still ahead of Willa, who has literally never even seen our upstairs!
We did scans every other chemo appointment, and now we're on a three-month schedule, which is great. I get to space my panic attacks further apart!
Watching her go up the 5 stairs she could easily do the 9. And she comes down the 9 stairs by herself which I thought was going to be more of the issue!
I'm hoping the scans space out to at least every 3 months or so.

Thank you all for asking for an update!
Now we only have 2 chemo treatments left!
And I guess scans every so often?
She is doing so well!
ONLY thing not back to "normal" is she isn't going up the big set of stairs, even though she can physically.
So we are still having to carry her up at night.- 2

Sorry Sorry Sorry!
SCAN WAS CLEAR!
Woohoo!
She even gained 2lbs and the doc was thrilled how friendly and "herself" she was!- 4

I get it. I'm petrified every time Willa has x-rays. And then totally elated when they're clear. I'm glad Amelia's still doing so well! That's what matters.
Gonna be a tense morning.
Appointment is at 9:30am. -
Little nervous about this one since we have the scan.
She is doing so well though!- 1

Good evening!
Send positive thoughts and vibes!
Amelia has chemo #4 tomorrow morning and a scan to check and make sure the chemo is working.- 3

Everything these folks have said!
I will say that scared feeling will go away... don't let go of the leash, but as you form a bond with your hound, and they settle in, you won't feel like you need a death grip on them.
They will stay with you.
We have always had our greys on leashes outside of our yard, and will continue to do so. You many critters and cars around. On another note, if you do adopt a grey, you are gonna fall in love!
Good luck! -

We only ever needed nausea meds for Doxorubicin, not Carboplatin. Sounds like Amelia is handling it all like the champ she is.
Please keep the good news coming! We need as much as we can get after Cindy lost her boy Zeke today to this horrid disease. Six years old.
Poor Cindy and Zeke… I am so sorry to hear this.
Run free sweet Zeke
