Where can you buy the water based??? I actually called the Adam's company and a few years ago and they said they do not make it anymore. I used to use it all of the time.
-
Sounds like you should just let her be for now and not do so much so fast. She has had a lot of changes in a short time.

I use the Bayer flea collar. It is good for 8 months.

Good to hear from you! She is mostly sleeping. He has her on Gabapentin, Trazadone and Tramadol. I told him that she was hurting after the last disk surgery, so I think he is making sure she doesn't hurt this time. He is a great neologist and I am so glad he has moved to Savannah. My main problem is with Mousie..she is a crazy dog! So trying to keep her separated from Lady is a trip. And, Lady does not even like her!
-
She made it out of surgery and is resting now. I think she will stay there for a few days. Dr. King is confident that all is well and the disks will stay in place.

Thank you so much for replying! I am so sorry you went through with all of that a few weeks ago. I can only imagine how you feel. My neurologist's name is Dr. Jason King and thankfully he relocated to Savannah from Charleston, SC. He has operated on DaVid's lower back one time and this will be Lady's 3rd with him. He also told me that Huck had bone cancer (we thought it was a disk problem also)..so, he is like a member of the family. He is extremely compassionate and his staff is too. He has his own MRI machine so no traveling for that. I have full trust in him. Hopefully she will only be there a couple of days and then home. Thanks for praying for her.

Lady is have her third disk surgery tomorrow. First one was to take out the disks, second one was to replace the disks with stainless ones and they slipped down…so the third surgery is to put new disks back in again.
Love my neurologist.

Google Prednisone. It has a bunch of side effects.
-
Where are you? I have the best neurologist in the world here in Savannah, Georgia. He just put disks BACK in my 10 year old greyhound. He had removed them about 2-3 years ago. Also, lost a greyhound to bone cancer and he was only 6.

Oh, forgot to say..she does not put my dogs to sleep…just hulls them out. Lady is having cold laser treatments on the some painful areas on her hips and between her shoulder blades. Would this be the same machine that could be used for corn removal?

We have them hulled about every week. My vet charges about $35-$40 per dog. Insurance picks it up for us.

IBD is bad news. Huck had it and we never cured it, but just barely controlled it. I wish I had tried home made raw on him.
-
I had to buy a ramp for both of my dogs.
-
I give mine only USA made treats.

My Galgo is way more rough than either of my Greys. Been thinking of changing her name from Mousie to Crazy Woman!
-
I have found that a harness gives a dog more leverage to pull. I really like the gentle leader idea.
-
Sounds like what I went through with Huck. Vet confirmed IBD.

I have Trupanion for both of the Greyhounds and Healthy Paws for the Galgo. I would NEVER go without pet insurance…$21,000 in back surgeries..they paid 90%
-
I have Trupanion for my two Greyhounds. I am very happy with them. Just the back surgeries alone cost over $21,000..then with the therapy (3 times a week to Charleston), all of the corns on both dogs, bone cancer and other problems..I could not have given them the vet care without them. I am also trying out Healthy Paws with my Galgo. I hope and pray I never have to use them.

Take a fresh stool sample with you. Otherwise it will be old rooter tooter way of getting it and most dogs hate that.
-
My vet pulled one of DaVid's canine. It was a lot of work. He broke the upper one right after that. She said to "just watch it" and that was probably about 2 years ago. No problems.
-
I use TE on my 60# female and TF on mu 74# male. Both of my hounds have dew claws. If you will privately send me your mailing address I will send you a new TF.
-
Healthy Paws and Trupanion do not cover routine exams, shots or dentals. But, when it comes to the big budget busters, they pay whatever you signed up for. In my case, they have paid out thousands of dollars and cover the corns being hulled every 7-10 days. I would not be without insurance on them.

I bought a Holt walking collar today by Top Paw and boy does it work. Totally different dog. However, I think I will check out this Halti collar. Thank you all for all of the help you have given me.

Please tell me again what the name of the blood test is for a 9 1/2 year old greyhound. DaVid is coming up for it. Thanks
