  1. she must've been one cool hound. i'm so sorry for your loss
  2. I can see from her pictures that she was a very silly, beautiful and precious girl
  3. Robin, I just saw this. I'm so sorry but I'm optimistic that the cancer is now gone

    Miles...

    Oh no...I'm so sorry
  5. Pam, I was also wondering if she hurt her back or neck. The same thing happened to Loca a few years ago and she responded really well to massage and a hot water bottle. You're both in my thoughts.
  6. I'm so glad Sierra is eating. Keep us posted, OK?

    Smitty

thank you for sharing his story. i'm so sorry he passed
  8. I couldn't agree more. A local specialist misdiagnosed loca with bone cancer, then Ohio State found that she had been misdiagnosed.
  9. Loca will be 13 next week and also looks (and is) underweight, in spite of her healthy appetite.
  10. the $$ sucks, but it was totally worth it to get her healthy. i got off cheap; the original estimate was $400-800 more! she probably ate fewer pills that we thought but you do what you have to do, right?
  11. $900 later, Loca is fine, happy and up to no good once again. When I picked her up yesterday she had no trouble jumping into my car. She no longer has black poop and her appetite is great. She is now hanging out with TinasTroops as I have to go out of town for most of the week. Does anybody want her?

    Laceylaine

Happy Gotcha Day Lacey Laine! We miss you! I remember the day you posted about her adoption
  13. Thanks, Patti but i'm going to be without a computer Saturday-Sunday anyway. I promise I'll post updates when I can.
  14. not yet. i just got home from the e-vet around an hour ago. she was going to call the poison hot line for a treatment protocol after i left. i have no idea where she found those vitamins, but obviously i wasn't careful enough.
  15. I got home from work this afternoon and took the dogs for their afternoon walk. Loca had lots of dark orange, very watery diarrhea. When we got home, I found a nearly empty bottle (maybe 10 left) of High Potency Vegetarian multivitamins. It was a bottle of 90. I called my vet's office and they suggested I bring her in. Following induced vomiting, activated charcoal and an IV to introduce fluids and electrolytes, it was decided that she should spend tonight, at the very least, at the e-vet for more IV and monitoring. Please keep her in your thoughts, ok?
  16. I completely agree with this. I do, too. Laurie and Robbie, I think of both of you often, as well as Emily and Iberia. We've all learned from your tragedies, I'm just so sorry that you both had to experience them and that you're both feeling such guilt after so many years.
  17. i've been to North Pole, also. welcome
