  6. Oh Beth, my heart sank when I saw this. I'm so sorry. Please take comfort in the fact that Smiley will be met by so many at the Bridge. You and Pete are in my thoughts
  7. Donna, I'm so sorry. I lost my grandma to dementia. It's truly an awful disease. Take care.
  8. my dog walker doesn't have a problem with it. she takes off the muzzle for Treasure's walk and replaces it afterwards. as others have said, she might be less uncomfortable if she sees what a basket muzzle looks like.
  9. is there a possibility that he's not feeling well? has he been to the vet? Treasure is muzzled when i'm not home. it doesn't seem to bother her a bit. she is muzzled for her own safety, as she chewed up my laptop AC adapter while it was plugged in! try to think of it as a safety (his safety) issue, rather than being cruel.

    My Sweet Jazz

Your siggy picture of Jazz has always been one of my all time favourites. He'll be missed by all of us
  13. Oh Susan, Alan was so special. We all got to know him through GT and I'm sure many of us really miss him; I know I do. You both continue to be in my daily thoughts, my friend
  14. His colleagues are also very competent. Remember, greyhounds are that they do. I understand your disappointment, but you remain in great hands.
  15. Oh no...I'd spoken to Linda Ann several times. She was a wonderful lady and a great advocate. She will be met at the bridge by many, many hounds
  16. You had some really good news today, Beth! Now you can relax and get some rest .
  17. I'm so sorry that it wasn't better news
  18. I contacted Dr. Couto a couple of years ago after Loca was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma. All contact was via email (he replied to my initial email within hours). My vet sent him Loca's x-rays, but I'll bet you could do it, also. His team definitely looked at them as they discovered that Loca was misdiagnosed and what the local radiologist interpreted as bone cancer was actually normal lung super-imposed on her collar bone. Incredibly, his consultations were free of charge. If he needs any further info from you, he'll tell you. He'll let you know exactly what you need to do. Loca's info was sent from Canada and it wasn't an issue. Please do contact him. He's an absolutely incredible person and will really help a lot. Even if it Lenny's diagnosis was accurate, once you've received consultation from Dr. Couto, you'll have no reason to ever doubt the diagnosis or your future decisions. good luck and keep us posted!
  19. Meredith, I'm so sorry. I remember Jane's passing. Isn't it amazing how much these animals touch us? Sometimes it's like nobody else could ever understand, but we do. We miss Jane, also, and wish there was something we could do to ease your pain. Most of all, everything you did for Jane was out of love and devotion. Never second guess that
