  1. Welcome from Ohio! I think your English is wonderful!
  2. When we first got both greys, we crated them in the living room only when we were gone. No one ever had to be in one at night. I like it when they snuggle with me. Our Ziggy had to be crated for quite a while as he suffered from separation anxiety so badly. He chewed up several pieces of furniture including tearing the back of our loveseat off!
  3. Welcome from Ohio!! I would love to see your picture of Cindy, but I can't. Is is too big? Ask away and all of us here will do our best to help you out!
  4. Welcome from Ohio!! Congratulations on such a beautiful hound!
  5. Thanks for the pictures. CONGRATULATIONS!
  6. Congratulations! He is handsome! I would like a black hound for my next one. I am working on my husband for that!
  7. I am so sorry! I'll keep you in my prayers.
  8. Words cannot express how sad I feel for you and your family. I have not had to experience this yet and I hope it will be a long while. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  9. Congratulations and welcome! We look forward to pictures of your beautiful hound!!
  10. Welcome Jennifer from Northern Ohio!
  11. I have 2 hounds, one male and one female. She is more aloof, but is so playful and funny that I really don't care. She is a fun dog who just likes to be alone sometimes, too. She was on the track for a long time. When I got her she had just turned 4. She ran many, many races. My male is far from aloof! He wants to sit with you on the couch and we hold hands, believe it or not! He lays his head on my lap and loves any type of attention. I think you will be happy with a greyhound. I would suggest that you have your daschound with you so that you can be sure that they will get along. Good Luck and post when you get your hound. OH, welcome from Ohio! Sorry it's so long!
  12. Welcome from Ohio! Your hounds are gorgeous! I especially like the picture with the cat. My female grey can't stand our cat. She isn't mean to her but she definitely does not like her.
  13. She looks just like my Ziggy! She is beautiful!
  14. Hi and welcome from Ohio!
  15. Dawn did typical "I'm mad at you!" things when we would leave her home alone. She loves chewing up tissues. But when we got Ziggy, we found out what SA really was. He went nuts when we would leave. He would not crate easily. I came home to be greeted by him. Somehow he tore the crate apart to get out!!!!! He has ruined several endstands, my computer table, and untold rolls of toilet paper. Once we came home to snow. It looked like it had snowed. Ziggy jumped right up on the sofa. "I didn't do it, really I didn't!" He is much better now. He still gets the toilet paper. We no longer have toilet paper on the roll! We have been taught to keep it in the cupboard. I guess what I am trying to say is that it does get better.
  16. They are so precious! They just make me smile!
  17. First off, I would not be leaving her loose in the house so soon. I would be putting her in her crate or putting her muzzle on her. As for the potty problem, she is very new to living in the house. Do you take her outside at certain times? Mine are in such a routine that you know when it is about time because they are asking to go outside. Good Luck!!
