  1. Oh Annie, don't forget it may not be as bad as it appears. Canyon clearly does not feel well and is in discomfort but I am not sure the screams are proportional to the pain intensity. We all bear pain and react to it differently. My hounds have run the gamut from terrible sccreaming over what is obviously merely minor discomfort to stoic attempts to hide-sometimes successfully- terrible pain(as confirmed by the vet). Canyon has been through a terrible ordeal- a terrible assault on his body. Even with no complications it can take months to overcome the negative results of the drugs etc. I would think that realistically it may take almost a year for him to completely put this behind him. It may be muscle spasms or something that is part of the healing process and it may be influenced by a fear of pain that is remembered etc. I am certain the accupuncture will help. And please email me or let me know if it would be alright if I attempted to speak with Canyon. At this point it certainly wouldn't hurt anything to have an animal communicator see if Canyon himself can shed some insight into whats going on with him. What would it hurt? I use Latiffa at www.animalscantalk.com Or you can even ask him yourself. Sometimes we get so caught up trying to help them ourselves -doing everything we know and more for them-that we forget to actually ask them what they think. I had a Dr. explain to me years ago that the body's healing process was cyclical. That sometimes it would go through stages of apparant progress AND apparent regression-but not to worry that that was part of the healing proces. I have observed that this is true over the years. I have also observed how so many times just before the biggest healings it looks the worse. The devil really does kick up a mess sometimes on his way out. Since you are going through this with Canyon I would imagine it is quite difficult to just keep from going nuts so it is much harder to see things sometimes-even if you know they are true. Standing on the Word for Canyons healing to manifest (I don't care what it looks like).... Canyons KY fan club!
  2. Annie I can think of so many things....LOVE really does conquor all.."In your patience possess ye your souls"(Luke 21:19)Most of all though I won't accept rabbit for t-bone steak! Canyon is well. The Word says its already been done. I don't care what it looks like. I refuse to be moved by the appearances. And I won't relinquish Canyons healing by giving place to doubt because of appearances which are irrelevant. My heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord. The exact middle verse in the Bible is "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.". I know sometimes things look worse just before the greatest blessing because the devil is mad he has to leave and wrecks extra havoc before he does. I won't be deceived by this trick. I give thanks for Canyons healing! Kisses and scritches to the boy! Time to be happy Canyon! Love, Your KY friends
  3. Good luck Jennifer! Prayers going up for a good prognosis for the boy!

  6. So you got a little "cookie monster" in ya huh? I should have known! I bet I can guess your favorite kind....sugar cookies? We love ya Canyon, you little cookie monster you. (And don't even try to trick your Mom into cookie "meals" for sustanance. Us greyt Moms are too smart for that. We know how you cookie monster houndies are. You still have to eat your REAL food.)

  8. Good Morning Canyon! Feel like a smile yet? Love ya you handsome houndie you!
  9. My holistic vet prescribed milk thistle for my greyt Slim. He had been starved prior to rescue and had digestive issues etc. As I recall it was very safe and was highly recommended by everybody I checked with for keeping the liver healthy. In fact if I remember correctly I believe I found out that it is given to humans that suffer from mushroom poisoning because it was so effective at purifying and cleansing. The vet had me giving him 2 or 3 of the capsules a day I believe. It was so safe I was never worried about any possible toxicity. I even took some myself since it was supposed to be so good for you. Now that you have reminded me I think I will get some for my senior. I had forgotten about how good it was. I do recall that there is a wide desparity in effectiveness between regular "milk thistle" and the "milk thistle phytosome". The milk thistle phytosome is the one you want because it has the highest concentration of the active ingredient that works so good. Regular milk thistle is weak compared to it. Hope that helps. But really- everything I found out said it was very safe and a wonderful herb and my vet confirmed it. And by the way- Slim did get well. In fact he got as strong as a horse!
  10. Prayers going up! Poor Diamond! Thank goodness you are adamant about pursuing this and trying to prevent it from happenning to another innocent victim. Irresponsible people seem to gravitate to mutant trash dogs and let them run wild. Good luck in your prosecution, lawsuit evrything you can think of! And most of all love and get well wishes to poor Diamond.

  16. Good Morning Canyon!!! Glad to hear you've got your mind on the proper things...like playing again! You are a very smart boy to stop and rest when you need to. 24. Absolutely positively! It actually helps everything- the immune system, everything-not just arthritis. Once I discovered how effective it was it has honestly become my first choice for treatment along with other holistic modalities. So much better than drugs with possible kidney and other implications. I guarantee you won't regret it if you choose to try it.
