  1. Cricket, You keep going strong. Sounds like some improvement
  2. She looks like she's never been anywhere else! So comfy in the dog bed - she's in heaven . Congrats.
  3. Checking in to see how Brody is doing. Has the vet checked for allergies?? That could cause rash and swelling.
  4. Greetings from Sterling and Kelsey from Staten Island, NY.
  5. Sterling had a bloody tail last month and it did take about 3-4 weeks with the bandages. Its not easy to keep them on - even with taping to th hair. Twice I came home to find odd tubes of Vetrap on the floor His tail did need to be shaved cos two spots of skin had to be cut. Its all healed now and just waiting for the hair to grow back and, hopefully, cover the scars.
  6. Toni is a real pretty brindle girl - congrats!!
  7. This is our first SS also. I think that anything for the pups is good: Jammies, treats, collars, stuffies, etc. anything really. Sterling is a white and fawn boy at 70 lbs or so. Kelsey is a petite girl at 57 lbs and is white with brindle patches. I like anything.
  8. IS there a way of finding out your SS recipient"s user name? All I have is the real name and address so I don't know what they have posted?
  9. Welcome from Staten Island, NY
  10. Sterling has this pimply-looking rash on his belly. Its right where his belly touches the floor, rug, bed etc. when he lays down. Your boy may have something like this, scratched at it and now is itchy from the scratching or an infection. Have the vet check it out.
  11. Was that a secretsanta or the Great Pumpkin??
  12. Last month Sterling got some skin ripped off his tail about half way down. Couldn't do stitches so it got antibiotics and bandaging. It oozed for a couple weeks but now its all healed and I'm hoping that when the hair grows back it will cover fsome of the scarring.
  13. Hi Eric, Welcome to GT. Its greyt that Meg has found her forever home with you. She is a beautiful houndie girl! Mimi, Sterling and Kelsey

  16. Sterling came to me without them but Kelsey still has both of hers. Unfortunately she has caught them 3 times already. The vet just trims it and wraps. I do worry about it.
  17. Sterling and Kelsey ususally get Sun afternoon baths because I take them to the park on sat. and sun. mornings and they love to go in the water at the beach (Salt water). If I don't at least rinse them, they get scratchy from the salt and sand.

  19. Poor Sally girl, Hope you feel better soon. I'll be thinking and praying for all of you. Mimi
  20. Hi, I live with 2 wonderful hounds in a one bedroom apartment. Don't be too nervous about the home visit - they take your heart and the dog's needs into account. Post pics when you get your new family member! Mimi with Sterling and Kelsey
  21. Thoughts and prayers to you Peatie and your family. Is it treatable?? My Fritz had that and was on chemo for awhile. After the treatments he went into remission for over a year!!
  22. Not really but clean the wound, dab on neosporin, wrap gauze around it and if you have it (but I think its available in drug stores, Vetape. Comes in colors - what vets use. This will give it a chance to heal/scab over. I use rubber booties if it rains or snows to keep the bandage dry. Mimi
