  1. Sorry to hear one of your boys is not feeling well again. They are very lucky to have you as their mother. I'm not sure I could manage all that. At this point I would be going the holistic route. Hopefully you'll get a good response.

    Zim & Pathches send :grouphug

  2. Barbara I went through this with Zim when I firs got her. My 1st vet told me she had kidney failure & had to be on the low protein diet. Well after 6 months of this diet & Zim having constant diarrhea I posted here & did some research. Stopped the diet learning that this was normal for a greyhound. I don't even have it checked anymore. As she is now getting older I will have checked again at some point in the future.

  3. My friends English Yellow Lab name Smaxie went to the rainbow bridge this morning. She was 12 1/2 years old & had her since a puppy. She was the only dog I would ever trust completely with children & she helped make Zim a better dog (and boy did she need the help!!). She was the most kind happy dog I have ever met. My friend has gone through a lot of personal stuff in the last 5 years so I've had the honor of having Smaxie for many sleep overs. I also felt better knowing they all (Zim, Patches & Smaxie) kept each other company. She truely was Zim's BFF.

Rest in peace Smaxie; you were the best.

  4. :weep:weep I can't stop crying reading all these post & looking at all the pictures of barking QM. I just cannot imagine how you feel. As I mentioned in my PM if you need anything let me know.
  5. I'm confused. If its in the bone wouldn't Dodge need a bone biopsy? When I went through this with Lexi I was told that the biopsy was painful & therefore opted not to do it.

Forgot to add sorry that this is happening to Dodge. As others have said we've all gone through it & lord knows it is not easy.

  6. If you have a local Banfield they offer a free walk in clinic for vaccines & then you get the script for heartguard. If they dogs are not due for shots call & speak with them if you can just bring them in for heartguard testing & then get the script. I know some people on here don't like Banfields but everytime I'm used them I've been very happy.
