Don't know where you are......AZ? It's been so hot & humid (for us). Maybe she's feeling the weather. My GH use to feel it even when inside.

Could she be stressed due to the abscence of her Mama?

What about an aneurysm ?......a swelling of an artery caused by pressure of blood flow through a weakened section of the vessel wall. They can often rupture suddenly with devastating results. Often times you never know you or your pet has one.

Actually I think a 1:10 bleach solution will do the job. Years ago that's what we used in the hospital to kill various stuff. Might be easier on the grass too.

Another vote for "just tired". Nevada use to come home exhausted. Too much activity & too many new things to watch etc.

My eyes are leaking all over the place! I think she gives us all hope.....

WOW....has it really been a year?? I remember us sitting at Phoenix Greyhound Park & toasting our angels! We need to get together again..... I miss my friend Sugar too......such a sweet soul.

My Vet said to definately use buffered aspirin. Do not use the enteric coated since a dog digestive tract does not breakdown the enteric coating like humans & it's useless.

Is she doing it only when she gets up from her bed? Is there something poking her from inside the bed?

Nevada's eyesight declined because of her Cushings disease also. So much of what you write sounds so familiar to me. I think that she was almost blind when she passed away. I think I read somwhere that a dogs eyesight is better with horizontal movement than verticle.

I think once you find a routine, both you & Gracie will have less anxiety. It's a HUGE change for all of you. Be gentle with yourself....

It is very hard to watch them start to fail.... But having gone down that road, I found that your bond becomes stronger & you enjoy the "moments" more.
